Temperature
Controlled Containers
We are
at times asked to provide equipment for special applications.
Some of the more interesting designs are below.
This is a chassis mounted container with a fully redundant
refrigeration system. The customer wanted an easy
opening door. The control systems were modified to
use digital thermostats. The primary system operates
in a three-degree temperature band and the secondary
system comes on if temperature moves more than three
degrees from set point. The container stores pharmaceuticals.
This trailer
was also modified for another customer to provide
redundancy with a second unit installed into the sidewall.
This also
contained pharmaceuticals requiring a tight temperature
band. The refrigeration systems were modified for
constant run with cylinder unloading on the compressors
instead of a normal on-off cycle.
The condenser
fan motors were altered to cycle so that system pressure
and temperature delivery would be more stable. All
this resulted in a three-degree temperature band. |
